Vox Caprae is constantly looking for new collaborators to explore music that’s evocative and intense, blending themes that touch on the mysterious, the esoteric, and the surreal. Each album is a little experiment, with a shifting set of voices and instrumental tones. This project thrives on versatility—collaborators join for a track or two, adding their unique colors without a fixed seat at the table. If you’re intrigued by music that leans towards the fringes, Vox Caprae might be the place to leave a mark.
Who We’re Looking For
If you’re a musician, instrumentalist, or arranger with experience (or at least an affinity) for experimental or alternative music, you might be just the person we are looking for. We welcome musicians across all spectrums and those who know how to bring out the hidden corners of sound. Flexibility and a sense of humor are definite bonuses. You don’t need to live in Japan or meet us in person to collaborate, and you don’t need to give full commitment to the project. You’re free to join when you feel like, in the ways you feel like.
Application Process
Here’s what you’ll need to send us:
1) Sample Works: share two songs that showcase your style or range. Not three, not one – two songs. You can link to SoundCloud, YouTube, Spotify, or upload your tracks somewhere and send us a link
2) Your Profile: tell us a little about yourself. We’d like to know about your past projects, what you’re working on currently, and where you see your music heading. Please also add a few words on why you want to collaborate with us and what you hope to bring.
Terms of Collaboration
Please review these terms before submitting:
1) Vox Caprae is all about flexible roles and collaborations without a long-term commitment. You may be “on hold” until a suitable track is ready for your sound.
2) Compensation is not guaranteed.
3) Only successful candidates will be contacted.
4) By applying, you agree to the Vox Caprae Solemn Oath.
If all this sounds good, we’d love to hear from you!
